Settlements of Footing Groups by GEO Tools

GEO Tools in ELPLA package (ELastic PLAte) is a program for analyzing different problems in geotechnical engineering. One of them is the calculation of settlements and tilting of groups of rigid centrally loaded rectangular footings on stratified subsoil. The settlements are calculated for bilinear deformation behavior of the soil according to the theory of elasticity. The settlements at 4 corner points and at the middle of the footing are calculated. For each layer, Modulus of Compressibility for loading and reloading can be defined. The self-weight of the footings and the foundation depth of the footings are considered. Height differences in the footing bases are also considered. If desired, the subsoil stresses and the limit depths of the settlements can be determined. The calculations are based on DIN 4019.
